Literally a line up of Blue Herons on the West side of the Lagoon, fishing in the low tide waters.  Shooting with my Canon 800mm F11 lens  Speeds between 1650 and 2000, which results in ISO of anywhere between 500 and 2000.  All photos processed with Lightroom and Topaz AI.
One fish boat on the horizon, slowly trolling along
Relaxed on a beach log, to watch and snap away...so many herons, big and small!
Heading over to the East side of the spit, the Eagle up in the tree just sat and watched me.... as I played around shooting small birds.
The light was changing with a haze lifting and high clouds passing by.  But the highlight of the morning was the arrival of a beautiful little Belted Kingfisher.   Though he was kind enough to do one dive, pretty close to my location, these are still significantly cropped!  Even the 800mm sometimes does not have enough reach.....
At one point my Kingfisher had a serious discussion with a black bird.... who decided to back off!
The Kingfisher did manage to get breakfast on his 3rd or 4th dive, he was very hard to keep track of in a fixed 800 mm lens, but I have  a record, not really much of a photo, with the prize!
And to end off an already beautiful morning, a group of Turkey Vultures came down onto the little island and pushed out the blue heron's.
My final image of the day, created by combining 3 of the diving Belted King Fisher in photoshop
